Project Description
What is DHI hair transplant?
Direct Hair transplantation (DHI) is a painless and incision-free hair transplantation procedure using the most modern technology and a technique that also takes into account the aesthetics of the patient. In this technique, the hair follicles (grafts) collected from the donor area are placed in a medical pen called Choi and the incision is made on the skin and transplanted directly without opening the canal. Thanks to the special pen used, the process is reduced to a single-stage, providing comfort and convenience to the patient. Since no canal needs to be opened in the area where the transplantation will be performed, more roots can be planted, which allows for achieving the most natural result with more intensive transplantation. The procedure takes 8-10 hours.
What are the stages of the DHI Technique?
- At the first consultation, your hair condition is carefully evaluated. You will be informed about what techniques to use, how to operate, and what results are expected.
- The density and amount of hair that a person need is determined by examining it.
- With the DHI technique, the procedure begins with local anesthesia to the donor area, the area between the two ears on the back and sides of the head,
- Then it continues with the individual removal of the follicular units together with the surrounding microscopic tissue using appropriate special tools.
- The collected hair follicles are placed one by one in the Choi implanter pen and direct transplantation is performed without opening the canal.
First Wash: On the day after transplantation, the first hair washing is performed by us and we will tell you in detail how to wash your hair and show you.
You need to do the subsequent washing every other day for 10 days, as described to you. when the 10th day is over, we will do scab washing.
DHI hair transplantation is one of the best hair transplant methods. They have many advantages over other techniques.
- This method, applied without damaging healthy tissues, is advantageous in that it allows for much more frequent transplantations. The procedure does not require stitching, leaves no traces, and is painless.
- Bleeding is minimal. A very clean image appears after the operation. The washing process can be started earlier after transplantation. The recovery period of DHI hair transplantation is short.
- Since the desired angles can be achieved very easily with the DHI technique, it is possible to obtain natural images that cannot be distinguished from the real ones as a result of hair transplantation.
- the hair follicles (grafts) taken from the donor area for transplantation mustn't be damaged and should be protected. When DHI hair transplantation is performed with the right techniques, the risk of damage to the roots is eliminated.
- The process of opening the channel and inserting the hair follicle is performed simultaneously. In this way, the waiting time for the roots is shortened and the risk of root loss is eliminated.
- Since there is no grooving process in the DHI method, the existing hair is not damaged.
- Patients experience a rapid recovery process.
There is a piece of incorrect information about the applicability of the DHI technique only in hairy areas. There is no valid reason for this argument. It can be applied in all regions where the FUE sapphire technique is applied. In addition, it is the only option for hair areas. Because during the opening of the channels to the scalp in the FUE sapphire technique, the existing hair is damaged. In a nutshell, it kills the existing hair and new ones are planted instead. In the DHI technique, existing hair is preserved and new hair is transplanted in addition to the existing hair. Thanks to this, it is possible to achieve a more intense image with the addition of existing hair. The transplantation of the hair follicles (grafts) to be transplanted without damage is the most important factor that directly affects the result. That is why the team that will operate should be selected carefully
This question is one of the questions that everyone who plans a hair transplant operation and wants to learn about the DHI technique is wondering about. Because there is a lot of false information about this issue on various media on the Internet and social media.
We often witness that patients who want to get information about hair transplantation from us usually get information that up to 2500-3000 grafts can be planted using the DHI technique. This information is incorrect. There is no limit on the number of transplantations with the DHI technique to the extent that the donor area of the person allows. To date, there are operations in which we have performed up to 7000 grafts in a single session using the DHI technique. If you wish, you can reach the examples of operations where we have previously performed 5000+ graft hair transplants.
Since there is no need to shave the transplantation area in the DHI technique and the surrounding roots are not damaged, it is the most preferred method for women who experience dilution and shedding. In addition, he often prefers this method in male patients who do not want to be shaved.
The recovery time is faster with the DHI technique. It can be performed with less bleeding than other methods. The DHI technique allows you to achieve a higher density. One of the main features of the separator is that it allows frequent transplantation.
There is no need to open channels for transplantation. It provides the ability to transplant into the hair area. There won’t be a trace.
